About Our Program for Landscape Shrub Treatments

The Jurassic Landscape Shrub Treatment Program consists of specifically designed and scheduled applications. Your Landscape Care and Mosquito Control Specialist is trained to recognize and treat a variety of diseases, insects, and climatic maintenance problems. They are also trained to Control Mosquitoes that have become a great health hazard, spreading disease and sometimes even death. Your basic annual applications will include the following...

Mosquito Control

Mosquitoes like to camp out on the bottom of the leaves, on your landscape plants because it is cooler there. To these plants, we apply 5 treatments, per year that kill mosquitoes, during the warmer parts of the year. This treatment is unique, versus many other pesticides because it has a residual and continues to control mosquitoes, until your next treatment. This residual also makes the treatment superior, for killing harmful insects that attack your landscape plants versus non-residual pesticides. For this reason, the Mosquito Control is a part of the 7 step Landscape Care program. If someone only wants the mosquito plan, they can choose to only receive 5 of the 7 treatments but there is a discount, if you receive all 7 since the cost to apply mosquito control is more expensive.

Landscape Feedings

Your landscape will receive a feeding late in the year to promote root growth. (Helps recover from summer stress and prepare for winter.) Another fertilization, will also be applied in the spring, to promote new growth and aid in recovery from winter stress. Additional plant feedings are not recommended, as this may create more growth than is desired. The main reason for the Landscape Program is to control insects and plant diseases.

Disease Control

Landscape plants which are prone to particular diseases receive preventive treatments throughout the season. If other diseases appear, they are immediately treated with the proper control material.

Insect Control

Your landscaping shrubs will receive a combination of preventive and control treatments, as needed, to take care of a wide variety of insect problems, like aphids and scale, throughout the year.

Continuous Monitoring

Your landscape shrubs are monitored all season long by your professional landscape specialist.

January / February	A horticultural dormant oil is applied to control hard shelled scale that are difficult to control, any other way. This application can only be performed in cool weather.	Helps to control pests during their over wintering stage, before damage occurs.
March / April	Mosquito controls are applied. Fertilizer and plant damaging insect and disease controls are also applied.	Protect people from potentially dangerous and diseased mosquitoes. Promote development of new plant growth and aid in recovery of winter stress. Protect your landscape plants from harmful insects and diseases.
May / June	Mosquito controls are applied. Plant damaging insect and disease controls are also applied.	Protect people from potentially dangerous and diseased mosquitoes. Protect plants from insects, mites and diseases where control requires special timing and additional sprays.
July / August	Mosquito controls are applied. Plant damaging insect and disease controls are also applied.	Protect people from potentially dangerous and diseased mosquitoes. Protect plants from insects, mites and diseases where control requires special timing and additional sprays.
August / September	Mosquito controls are applied. Plant damaging insect and disease controls are also applied.	Protect people from potentially dangerous and diseased mosquitoes. Added protection against damaging insects and mites, further strengthening plants health and vigor.
October / November	Mosquito controls are applied. Plant damaging insect and disease controls are also applied.	Protect people from potentially dangerous and diseased mosquitoes. Added protection against damaging insects and mites, further strengthening plants health and vigor.
November / December	Slow release fertilizer applied to promote root growth and help plants recover from summer stress and prepare for winter.	Promotes root growth to help plants recover from summer stress. Also helps prepare plants for winter.
